Ray Cohen is a percussionist who believes strongly in the healing power of rhythm and sound. With family roots in rural Connecticut, music was an integral force that bonded him and his older brothers. Now, he resides in Boston and draws inspiration from a deep connection to nature and the energetic realities of our existence.

Reclaim is a record of tribute to the process of healing, growth, and purification of the heart. An entire summer spent in the presence of the White Mountains of New Hampshire provided Ray Cohen the perfect environment to dig deep into the music and the Self. “The handpans played the role of the reflector. They inspired me to pause in the present and be open to observing the arising experience. The music is the result of the lessons I learned feeling in nature.” Cohen hopes this collection of songs will do the same for the listener - encourage them to take a moment to connect to spirit and remember the sacredness of being human.
